Mr Chander Agarwal is serving as the Managing Director of TCI EXPRESS. He is responsible for the strategic development and financial directions of the company. TCI Express is Publicly listed on both the National Stock Exchange and the Bombay Stock Exchange and is India's Number 1 and fastest growing express delivery company. Under Mr Agarwal's leadership, TCI EXPRESS is on track to increase its delivery and pick up locations from 40,000 to 60,000 across India. His growth plans will also see the company expand the number of its local branches from 550 to 1000 over the next two years. He was in charge of taking TCI EXPRESS public in 2017 Since then the company has been on a steady growth path.
He has a wealth of experience in international business, epitomized by his instrumental role in establishing TCI's global footprint, including in emerging economies such as Brazil, Indonesia and Africa.
Mr Agarwal sits on the Board of the Express Industry Council of India (EICI) as a management committee member and has played an important role in bringing relevant changes to the logistics industry in India by lobbying the government. His dedication to the logistics industry has won him an array of awards and nominations, including the Economic Times' Most Promising Business Leader of Asia for the Year 2016-17 and Year 2018-19, CV Magazine's Managing Director of the year 2016, The World's Greatest Leaders 2015 Asia & GCC from the United Research Services & Asia One, Daily Media India's Inspirational Leader of India in 2019, and WCRC Insights' India's Inspirational Business Leaders 2019.
He has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Bryant College, Rhode Island, USA. He graduated from Harvard Business School's OPM program in March 2018. He has completed various executive management and finance programs at prestigious institutions across the world, including the National University of Singapore and INSEAD Business School. He has been an active member of Entrepreneur Organization since 2006.
His hands-on experience with Transfreight USA, a 3PL specializing in lean logistics, primarily for Toyota Motor Vehicles USA in 2001-2002, equipped him with an in-depth understanding and knowledge of the logistics business.
